Our Paper
Each of our samples has a paper number on it to identify the elements of the paper. The letters at the beginning refer to the printing process: no letters or "GE" mean the sample is engraved, "RT" means thermography and "LT" means letterpress printed. The numbers indicate the size of the piece and number of panels (embossed frames): 3x is a small invitation, 6x is a standard size while an 8x is oversized, etc... The last number in the sequence is the number of panels on the piece. The letters then refer to the type of paper involved:
Classic Paper Stock - Ivory (Darker ivory; has a slight yellow tone)
CL (folded sheet) or CLC (card) in the paper numbers
Premium grade sheets, cards and envelopes; ~5% cotton and some recycled content
80 pound text weight stock for envelopes; 100 pound text weight sheets for folded invitations and folded stationery; 130 pound cover weight stock for card stock invitations, accessory cards and correspondence cards.
Classic Paper Stock - White
WCL (folded sheet) or WCLC (card) in the paper number
Acid free sheets, cards and envelopes; some recycled content
80 pound text weight stock for envelopes; 100 pound text weight sheets for folded invitations and folded stationery; 130 pound cover weight stock for card stock invitations, accessory cards and correspondence cards.
Elegant Paper Stock - Ivory (An eggshell ivory)
EL (folded sheet) or ELC (card) in the paper number
Acid free sheets, cards and envelopes; some recycled content
70 pound text weight stock for response envelopes, social stationery envelopes, 120ELC and 210ELC invitation envelopes; Eighty pound text weight stock for other invitation envelopes; 100 pound text weight sheets for folded invitations and folded stationery; 130 pound cover weight stock for card stock invitations, accessory cards and correspondence cards.
Elite Paper Stock - Ivory (An eggshell ivory)
ET (folded sheet) or ETC (card) in the paper number
Acid free sheets, cards and envelopes
70 pound text weight stock for all envelopes; 100 pound text weight sheets for folded invitations and folded stationery; 100 pound cover weight stock for card stock save the dates, accessory cards and correspondence cards.
Crane™ Paper Stock - Ecru (A medium ivory, has peach tones)
Crane™ samples are included in sample packs only when specifically requested.
100% cotton sheets, cards and envelopes
80 pound text weight stock for invitation outer envelopes; 100 pound text weight sheets for folded invitations, folded stationery and invitation inner envelopes; 134 pound cover wieght for card stock invitations, accessory cards and correspondence cards. The Crane™ watermark will not appear on card stock items and may or may not appear on all text weight stock.
